The experienced denver divorce attorney you need on your side
Steve McBride

Steve received his B.A. with High Honors from Denison University in 1973, earning Phi Beta Kappa and Omicron Delta Kappa memberships. He received his J.D. from University of Denver College of Law in 1976 and entered the Colorado Bar the same year. He now has 30 years of experience practicing family law, and has earned the esteem of his peers in the legal community.

Recognition for Steve's singular abilities in family law began early, as he was the 1987 recipient of the Arapahoe County Bar Association's Outstanding Young Lawyer of the Year award. That respect has only grown in the years since. In 2006 and 2007, Steve was recognized among the Best Lawyers in America and received the Colorado Superlawyer designation.

His many awards and professional association memberships are the result of unwavering professionalism, honesty and preparation. Family law attorneys around the state respect the breadth of Steve's experience and his efficient and straightforward approach. He enjoys a good rapport with other divorce professionals, which allows him to proceed toward a positive result for his clients in an efficient manner. But mostly, Steve has an uncommon devotion to family law which has spread throughout his firm. "I try to make clients feel "at home" in our office," he says, "because of the sensitive issues that have to be addressed."

In addition to his co-chairmanship of a task force on Family Courts in Colorado, Steve has served as President of the Arapahoe Bar Association, Senior Vice President of the Colorado Bar Association and Chairman of the Family Law Section of the CBA. He is a member of the Colorado Supreme Court Committee on Family Issues and served for several years on the Board of Directors of the Children's Advocacy and Family Resource Center. Steve has been a member of the Metropolitan Denver Interdisciplinary Committee on Child Custody for over a decade and has lectured extensively about varying aspects of family law, including child support, spousal maintenance, and property division.

When weekends arrive, Steve tries to find time to golf in the summer and ski in the winter. He is also excited to travel whenever he can.
